  The range of courses we offer during winter can be found below:


A 2-day intro course for those looking to start winter mountaineering at £400 per person - Maximum of 2 people per course.


2 days of Introduction to winter climbing at £400 per person or 5 days at £900 per person - Maximum of 2 people per course.


A 5-day Improver course for those looking to push their grade or learn to lead at £900 per person - Maximum of 2 people per course.


Private guiding is available all winter for single or multiple days, starting at £350 for the day. The maximum ratio is 1:2 people.


A 2-day winter skills course based out of Fort William at £200 per person - Maximum of 6 people per course.

Winter Skills Courses and Guided Winter Walking

Whether you're looking for your first steps with a Winter Skills Course, where you will learn how to move safely around in the Scottish mountains using Crampons and Ice axe, learning how to read avalanche forecasts and how to travel safely around avalanche terrain and learning how to navigate in the winter mountains. These Winter skills are the 'bread and butter' of Winter Mountaineering and Climbing and a must for anyone looking to progress.


If you already have some basic Winter skills and would like to learn some Winter Mountaineering skills, like moving over steeper snow or mixed terrain, using a rope to safeguard you and your partner with skills like belay construction, anchor selection and snow anchors. These skills will help you tackle some of Scotland's great ridges and are transferable to the high mountain and alpine environment.


We also offer Guided Winter Walking for people looking for support to head out into the Scottish Mountains in winter. Maybe you have done a skills course n the past and would just like a qualified guide or instructor to support you whilst you increase your confidence or experience.
